The
British Peanut Council was formed in 1967 and
is the only trade association in Britain to
exclusively promote and protect the interests
of the British peanut industry.
The
BPC's activities focus mainly on its members'
interests in the legislative and technical fields
of operation, both in the UK and the European
Community. The Council is consulted directly
by the relevant authorities in Britain on matters
affecting our members. BPC is a member of the
Federation of Oil, Seeds and Fats Associations
which is a professional contractual and arbitral
organisation which represents the international
trade of peanuts/groundnuts. The BPC also enjoys
strong links with the Peanut Councils of Holland,
Germany, USA and has good communications and
exchanges with other trade bodies in all the
origins.
